Welcome to the Real Estate Real Success podcast, where we talk about key business successes and lessons learned along the way in the hopes of inspiring brokage owners and managers to find new ways of doing business. I'm your host Chiyoko Kakino. And in this episode, zero, I'm going to give you a little bit of background on myself and what to expect from this podcast. To give you a little bit of insight on who I am. I am the vice president of brand expansion for Century 21, Canada. My background has been in marketing and sales and I have over 25 years experience specializing in strategic planning, repositioning of brands and what I refer to as local store marketing. And that's really working with local business owners to develop a business plan and a marketing plan that helps them drive revenue. I have been in franchising, the majority of my life, and I've really dedicated my career to helping business owners and entrepreneurs be successful and grow their business. I've worked for a number of national international restaurant chains. I've run a cosmetic aesthetics company for Jim Treliving. Some of you might recognize him from the Dragon's Den. And then I joined Century 21, about six and a half years ago as their vice president of marketing. During that time I have had the honor of revitalizing the brand in the marketplace. Now it is contemporary. It's fresh, it's relevant, super excited, and have the opportunity to work with the rest of the team here on developing a complete inclusive backend technology platform that helps C 21 realtors generate more leads, win more listings, build a referral network and provide that gold standard level of service to the clients. And most recently, I have moved over to focus more on expanding the brand by opening new brokers. Century 21 Canada's goal moving forward is to grow the brand. We are 11,000 plus strong here in Canada, and we really want to align ourselves with like-minded individuals who share the same vision about what the future brokerages look like. This podcast was really created to share best practices. At C21, we have a culture of collaboration and not only in our own organization, but also collaborating with others in the industry with the goal of raising the bar, when it comes to providing Canadians with an extraordinary home buying and selling experience. We will feature in depth conversations with various real estate leaders. We'll dive into strategies for success and learn how the best and the brightest grew their businesses. We are going to cover everything that it takes to run a profitable business. We're going to talk about leadership, what it takes to be an effective leader, specifically in a rapidly changing world. We're going to talk about what some brokerage owners are doing to maintain and enhance their culture and what we're really referring to now, as this hybrid, working model. We're going to talk about some key strategies that help retain and loyal salesforce. We're going to talk about training and not only training your agents to be more successful with regards to the experience that they're providing their clients, but also how do you engage them? How do you train them on the various tools and technologies that you have in order to help them be more productive. We're going to talk about recruiting, which is a great way to grow your business. So we'll talk to some brokerage owners about what they're doing to recruit more agents and what really agents are looking for these days when they're joining a brokerage. And we're going to talk about so much more mergers and acquisitions, onboarding, accelerate, growth plans. Again, everything that brokers need in order to grow their businesses. So, if you ever wondered, really help brokerages achieve amazing results. The answer is quite simple. It's modeling success. The time that is required to learn and to implement is dramatically reduced when modeling the success of others versus taking extensive time in research and development. So hopefully this piqued your interest and we hope you enjoy listening to some industry's best success stories and take some of those ideas and implement them into your own business.
